How to translate your blog post into another language in Shopify?

Learn how to translate blog posts or generate blog posts in multiple languages

If you sell in more than one country, your blog should speak your shoppers’ language. vevy.ai lets you translate any post, with AI or by hand. Translation is on the Pro plan. (Check: Billing)

Before you start

  • Your store needs the language turned on in Shopify. Go to Settings > Languages in your Shopify admin to add it.
  • You need the Pro plan.

How to translate a blog post in Shopify?

  1. Open vevy.ai from the Apps menu in your Shopify admin.

  2. Open the post you want to translate in the blog builder.

  3. Click the language menu at the top of the settings panel, next to the flag.

  4. Choose the language you want to translate into.

  5. Choose how to translate:

    • With AI: vevy translates the whole post for you. This uses AI credits.

    • By hand: write the translation yourself. This uses no credits.

  6. Read the translation and fix anything that doesn’t sound right, like product names or sizes.

  7. Click Publish.

Tips

  • Check prices, sizes and units. They may need to change for each market.
  • Keep product and brand names the same in every language.
  • Translate the SEO fields in the Post tab too, so the post can rank in that language.
